Important! Read The Following Alert
Farmaddicts hosting server was comprimised last night 4/11 and a trojan was attached to several pages, not only this site but all the domains were affected. If your firewall or antivirus did not catch it please run a system scan on your PC. All the infected files have been deleted and replaced with clean copies which were scanned before uploading. My hosting service is working to plug the hole and I will keep a close eye on the site until all is secure.
My apologies for any problems this may have caused and my thanks to Google Search Quality Team for quickly alerting me to the problem.
This is not an Official (Lil) Farm Life Web Site
Just for the record I am just another (Lil) Farm Life farmer. I am in no way associated with the game developers, or the game. I have no contact with anyone on the development team, and this is not an Official (Lil) Farm Life web site. I put this site together to help all of us learn how to play the game as best we can. I am not an expert on this game but I don't mind answering questions if I have the answer or can find one, if not I will still try to reply. Some of the most common questions I get are answered lower on this page under the (Lil) Farm Life Notes catagory.
I have been playing some of the other farm games and added this game application to see what it was about. I am just now starting out with the game and have a lot to discover. I like the fact it gives the opportunity to help save some of the Rain Forests.
I am always open to suggestions, game tips, resources, corrections to any of the data posted, and any other help with making this site better for the visitors and players new to the game.
I am in the process of gathering farm and crop data to post on the site. You will find tables on the facts and crops pages for those items. The resources page has a few links to information and a spreadsheet put together by other players that have some good information. Calculators for time until harvest for crops, what your crops will be worth, and to see how many more points you need to reach the next or higher level. I am working on a Farm Manager spreadsheet for the game based on the ones I made for FarmTown and FarmVille, if you want a preview have a look at the FarmTown or FarmVille Farm Managers, since the game is still somewhat new with not as many items or crops as the other two games I expect to have it completed in a short time.
What is New
Jan 7th. Update
As some of you may have noticed I had suspended suspended supporting this game for a while. The serious lag time and other issues concerned me. Now there is a new team developing the game and I am watching for improvements. There has been a little improvement in the lag time and I have not received flash errors lately, however it seems there have been more enhancements to the game than improvements. I am going to resume support and begin to update the data with the latest available in hopes the much needed improvements will soon be implemented.
Flowers have been moved into a seperate category in the store so I have moved them to a new table on the crop data page. There is now a new Game Data Page with the levels, quests, holiday, and gifts tables. This was done to keep the facts page from growing too large and speed the load time of the pages.
I kept getting frustrated when after a land upgrade I would run out of coins before planting all the new fields. I made a new calculator to figure the cost of plowing and seeds so I could choose a crop that would work within the coins left after the upgrade. Check out the new (Lil) Farm Life Planting Calculator
What Is New With (Lil) Farm Life
New flowers to plant as crops and topiaries for decoration. What data I have so far are on the facts and crops pages.
New seeds! Peas are an 8 hour crop, pineapple a 12 hour crop, coffee, dragon fruit, and passion fruit. Strange, I thought passion fruit grew on trees. I still don't know much about the new crops but what I have is on the crops page.
Halloween gifts for your neighbors are now available. Scarecrow witch, pumpkin ghosts, witches with cauldrons, tombstones, pumpkins, and more.
Starting the Game
You begin the game at level 1 with 1 XP (experience points), 100 coins, 8 fields, 2 strawberry and two grapes ready to harvest, 2 pepper fields at 0% ready, 2 plowed fields, 1 apple tree ready to harvest, and one hay bale. The total beginning value of the farm is 687 coins. The hay bale can be sold for 2 coins, the two plowed fields are worth 40 coins, crops ready for harvest total 545 coins, and the 100 coins you start with. You gain 1 XP for plowing and 2 for planting. To get a good start on the game harvest your crops, then plow 15 new fields, this will give you a total of 17 fields. Plant all the fields with strawberry seeds, you will have 5 coins left when done. Strawberry is a 4 hour crop so while you are waiting go to your neighbors tab and send invitations to your friends to become neighbors. Then check out the game, look at the store and see what is available, then click on the Help tab for a game overview. At the bottom of the page is a link to the forums, I strongly suggest a visit there to learn more about the game. Don't forget to send gifts to your friends, you should get some in return and for every 10 gifts accepted you help save the Rain Forests 1 square foot at a time.
When your crops are ready for harvest you will be given the option of requesting help from your neighbors, they earn coins for the work and you make more for the crops than if you harvest them yourself. If you request help you can post the news on your wall, if you are on your farm when help arrives a chat window will open up and you can have converstation while your crops are being harvested. If you have the time plant strawberry again adding as many fields as you can afford to plow and plant. If not then plant as many potato fields for the next day. A farm day is 20 hours and the crops will last about the same amount of time after ripening before they begin to wilt.
Tips & Tricks
Just a couple of things I have picked up playing these games so far. If you have any you would like to share please send them to me. When I get enough to build a new page I will add a Tips & Tricks page to this section.
The plow tool works best for new fields on green grass. It is a pain to use to plow harvested or wilted fields, use the arrow for that it works much better. I started on the top right edge of the farm just below where I placed the apple tree, plow the first field then wait to see if it is where you want it. Move the plow towards the new field and edge of the farm until it turns red, then slowly move it away until it turns green. The green edges should be touching the first field and the edge of the farm, then click to plow. This will get the fields as close together as possible. I only had room for 9 fields going down from top to bottom along the top right side of the farm. If I had placed the apple tree on the opposite corner I would have been able to get 10 on the 10x10 starter farm.
I was short 15 points to make level 11, I could have bought 5 hay bales for $250 to get it, what I did was visit my neighbors farms. After the fourth farm I still did not get a message to help on the farms, I had already done that earlier in the day. I clicked on my Neighbors Tab above the game screen and at the top was a message to help on a farm, doing this three times gave me the 15 points to make the next level. I have used the same trick on the other farm games and it usually works on those as well.
Up on the top left of the game screen there is a trophy on your farm name plaque, click on it to see what trophies and ribbons you have gotten so far from the quests.
